Song & Jenn Story

It was the big day for Choon Song and Jennifer yesterday!

Morning
735am: I reached Jenn's place. All the other Ah Yis were there already, doing last minute preparations for the "tekan plan".
Her mum was cooking. 2 of her aunties were helping to prepare food.
Her dad was around helping out.
The photographer and videographer were shooting shots here and there.
The star - Jenn was having her makeup done by her makeup artist. :)

810am: Song and his brothers finally arrived.
They were 10minutes late.
There were 2 main parts to the "tekan plan".
- Q&A (have special food items and dance items to punish them when he gave wrong answers)
- Reading & Signing of love pledge (many terms)

845am: The "tekan" ended.
The guys tried to bargain with us on the $.
We did not insist too much cos we did not want to delay the plan for the day.
Our reward: $78 for the 4 of us. :P
Haha, cos our main target was to make it memorable and not the $.

Left and went to Christina's house to rest.

Washed face and took a nap on half of her bed. So comfy!
She was still settling some admin stuff for the wedding reception while I slept first.
She slept for a while after she settled those stuff.
Then we both woke up and chatted for a while.
What she shared encouraged me.
Another turn-around case to prove tht God does restore relationships! PTL!

Changed and put on basic makeup
Went to Jurong Point to get hair done.
Settled at Storm.
Nice curled hair with part of it pinned up...
Got toe nails repainted at Beauty Bar, cos the nail polish color tht I tried on the previous night was not suitable for my dress at nite. Did a nice dark red color. :)

Jianye and Angeline picked us up and gave us a lift to Amara hotel.

Holy Matrimony
It was a nice church wedding at the "garden" area.
Was a little warm actually. Pity those who were wearing shirts, especially those wearing suits!

I felt really happy for Song and Jenn. They are really blessed to have found each other and are now joined together in marriage. Seeing them in marriage, shows the love that God has for us. God, please remember Your promise to me that you have a great partner in store for me ok? Thank you! :)

Met Jenn's friend - Andrew before the church wedding started and sat with him cos his other frens did not come for the holy matrimony and he was alone.

Met Song's friend - Junhao (I think) after the church wedding and talked to him for a short while.

Met Song & Jenn's friend - Cecilia in between holy matrimony and wedding dinner. She just got married 2 weeks before Jen. She'll be going US with husband a few months later cos he will go there to work. She will be take a break and not working when she is there. Not bad hor?

I wish that I have more things to talk about, then can make them feel more comfortable.
I must learn to have better conversations. :)

Wedding Dinner
The opening was one of a kind. Her Strikeforce people performed for them.
The walk-in was different too. :)

The food was buffet style.
Yummy food!

The ballroom had ceiling boards that showed little lights like stars. They change colors too.
Nice place. Nice atmosphere. Cosy feeling.

Her gowns were very nice!

Song's speech: He shared about how he 1st got to know Jen + all the thank yous
Jenn's speech: All the thank yous.
I don't know how to explain it, but while she was saying the speech, I really felt that she was really a full-fledged woman. Really felt the joy for her. Amazed by God for what He has made her to be and who she is. She is really the joy wherever she goes. Such a encourager. So friendly and approachable. So serving. Praise the Lord!!!

I enjoyed the loving mood. I hope that my big day will come soon too!

JHJH and Weddings

I had a date with HJH plus some others at Spinners. Am glad to meet up with the JHJH gang last night. Then went Maxwell Food Centre for a while.

There are some pple that you enjoy meeting up with. :D
J was one of them.

I have 3 weddings to attend on the 7th and 8th July weekend.
2 church weddings and 1 wedding dinner.

My friends and I gave our friend a surprise bridal shower party on Tuesday night. We got the cooperation of her husband-to-be to date her and bring her to us on a blind-fold. We decorate the room with hearts hanging around and red, pink and white balloons. It was really a pretty sight! We had food and drinks, and asked her about her 1st kiss. We let her be the centre of attraction for the night. And of cos, we made her do 2 silly things. But very mild ones.

Jennifer: I'm happy for you and Song. Congratulations!!! So happy for you to find the man of your dreams who love you lotsa! :)

Why am I blogging at this hour on a weekday?
Cos I tossed and turned on my bed for an hour. So I decided to wake up.
I read a bit of my bible. Then come online. Supposed to go offline at 330 but I am still here.

My 9th June

Went shopping with P and C today at Marina Square to get cgl's birthday present.
Already did a short round of shopping yesterday but wasn't successful.

This time we went a few shops and finally went to City Chain. We saw this Nautica watch and 2 other possible Seiko watch. Then C saw another watch from CYMA. It looks great! But the price was too much over our budget. So the sales lady asked us if we want her to help see got other similar watches. So she helped us to find. Then found this Seiko one. It was light, unlike the others we saw. It was titanium material. The watch face was also made of sapphire (is this the word?) so that the watch surface would not be scratched. So in the end, we bought that cos it was a good choice near to our budget! :) Yeah, mission completed.

Went to Killiney Cafe to have ice jelly and french toast with maple syrup. :)

Went to get cake and card before travelling down to expo.

The walk to hall 1 was long long...!

Pastor shared about true rich Christians.
I want to be rich and have influence.
I want to build homes for children and be their blessings.

Recently I thought of the voluntary charity work I did last time.
Went to some homes to visit.
Went to paint some home or clean some home.
These things somehow made me happy though tiring...
I remember tht was a home where the kids pinched us... :P

I need to start doing more of these things. Think of other people more than myself.
Bring a smile to their faces, which in turn brings back a smile to myself.

I realised that I have lost my smile again. I feel tht it is so hard for me to smile. That was a period that I got back my smile, but I feel that it is gone all over again.

At cg, J shared that Happiness is a choice.
I need to choose to smile, I want to be happy.
The problem is how much do I want it!?!

We celebrate cgl's birthday after service. We wanted to sing loud loud for him, but he kept asking us to lower our volume. Haha! This was one of the occasion that we only listen to our cgl partially. Cos we sang softer but it was not very soft too. :P

I must say that I am very blessed by his ministry. He really have a big heart for us. Just this week, he took cg 4 times!!! 2 cg meetings as usual and 2 makeup cg sessions. He gave his time to us. :) J, thank you for sowing into our lives and believing in us!

After that I walked and talked to a SOT student in my cg. Oh yes, I am very happy to hear that they wanted to share in our cgl's present. They are all here on scholarship and do not have a lot of money, but they want to be a blessing. It really touches my heart. I want to bless them, but I do not know which is the best way I can touch their heart. Let me not just think good thoughts, but let me do something for me. Show me.

I took a cab from Bedok to Woodlands. $19.50. So expensive man!!!
I went there for a colleague's wedding. She was in the same dept as me for a few months, then she went to another dept. She looked really pretty. The void deck was nicely decorated too. Congratulations to Sha and Haleem! :)

Shared cab with them to The Cathay cos one of them was going there to watch movie with bf. I went with the other 2 gals to Macs at Plaza Sg. Ate the Seaweed shaker fries with tea, and chit chat a little. Then took mrt home.

H is going to leave the company. 28th is her last day, while she will clear 4 days of leave before that. I think I will miss her. She is passionate about what she does. She is good at her design, website skills, javascript. She has good thought processes. It is such a pity that we are losing this talent. It is actually quite sad to think about it. But as usual, I have to be happy for her as she has found a job with better remuneration and prospects.

I wonder if we are just colleagues or more than colleagues. Hope it is more than colleagues, and there are some friendship element in this relationship. :)

Satisfied my movie craving

I finally watched Shrek 3.

I had wanted to watch movie for a while already, but had been either sick or busy at work. So glad that finally I got to watch one of the movies that I wanted to watch!!!

I watched with 2 of my good friends: A and V.
V brought 2 friends along. Been quite a long time since I went out with both of my friends and for a outing. Happy! :) Must start doing this more often again. :)

I enjoyed Gingy and Pinochio's characters.

Can someone please buy me Gingy (the Gingerbread man character from Macs Happy Meal)?
Please please!!!

Next movie I want to watch is Pirates of the Carribean, followed by Fantastic 4.
Maybe I will watch Zodiac if I have the time.

I want to go shopping and get some new clothes. I am so bored of the clothes in my wardrobe man!

I need a haircut too.
Should I cut my hair to shoulder length? But I still like long hair leh... :P
I feel like highlighting my hair, but don't feel like spending the $$. Ha!

I want a iPod, a laptop, a digicam.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to my bonus that will come on 25th June.
I will know the amount on 22nd June. So excited!

I hope that it would be X month(s) of bonus this time, same as last year.
Last year I was hoping for more than X month(s) of bonus for this year.
But this year, all BUs are sharing the combined profits compared to last year when the profit for Radio was not shared with other BUs. So I don't know if this year's average would be better than last year.

If I can get more than X month(s) of bonus, I wouldn't mind of course. But I think X month(s) is a more realistic expectation for now. I don't feel like settling for Y month(s) of bonus in my mind now. I pray that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or imagine. :D Thank you, Jehovah Jireh!

Let me start thinking in advance on how I want to spend some $$ on myself... Hehe!

Last weekend - love was in the air

Last weekend's services were just great!

Liu Geng Hong proposed to Vivi Wang on Saturday at the evening service after singing 2 songs from his latest album. It was really "love in the air" after that! :)

Really suave guy and gorgeous girl!!!

Sun's morning service had a drama production at church. It was called "PVC rocks".
PVC = Pandan Valley College. Haha!

It was a very good drama about 2 youths and their dreams.
And yes, there was a love element to it. The 2 of them fell in love with each other.
Another "love in the air" morning!

Why were there so many services over the past few days?
Cos it was the annual Emerge Youth conference organised by my church.

I attended 5 out of the 8 services.
I was very blessed.

I will shall more in the following days when I have time to blog ok?

What should I write on?

I feel that I have started self-pitying myself more and more.
So "victimised" rite?

Bad bad!

Anyway hor, I think I am quite negative in my thinking...
How ah?

I think the worst of any situation rather quickly.

I still have the thinking that if a person cares for me, he/she will sms me often.
I still believe that no matter how busy the person is, if he/she really cares about me, he/she would sms/contact me leh.

I think it is cos that is that is what i will do for the person.

But I think that this is rather problematic.

Perhaps I want a short-cut in building a relationship indirectly...

My Fridays have been quite no-life, spent at work. Feel quite sad for myself.
I want to go dating leh... Hehe!

Happy for my friend who said that he managed to finally get a girl to open up to him after persisting for very long. Hope that it will work out right for him! :D
