My weekend...

Just to tok...

Was supposed to go attend a wedding reception but aiyah, friend sick so can't go down so I'm not going down too. Cos he is a very old friend whom I have not seen for a long time, think going to be quite awkward if I go down along. Here's wishing him a blissful marriage! :)

So that's why I am toking here now... Usually I do not use the internet on weekends, cos I do not have a computer myself at home. Am now at GWC Macs using free internet now. Haven't had my lunch yet. :P

Often feel that it would be great if I can find a friend to come out when I got the time. But usually have to pre-book pple leh. The world is getting busier... Good thing lah, but sometimes I wish that I can ask pple out more sponataneously tho.

Yeah, it is Mid-Autumn Festival today! Here's wishing you Happy Zhong1 Qiu1 Jie1! :D
Was at Chinese Gardens with my friends and my mom last nite. There were so many pple man! Din expect to see so so many pple, tho I know that there would be many pple.

The Lantern Festival's theme was Safari, so we saw alot of animal lanterrns. Really alot of work for those who organised the thing man! Was cool! But my favorites were "Dough Coffee" characters and the "Rooster Wedding". :) The dough coffee characters were really cute, really like them alot! Took quite a number of photos, will upload some if I can figure out how to insert pictures. :)

Yesterday afternoon after tuition, I went down to Ngee Ann City with my student to the carnival (org by deaf association) that she was helping out with. I saw 2 performances. This lady was signing 2 songs, very nice! She was very expressive and moved with the song. I didn't know that sign language can be that cool! Very nice!!!

Aiyah, gotta go. Many pple wants to use the computer here it seems.

ATMOSPHERE

Article by Dr Phil Pringle...

'There's a destiny that shapes our ends Horatio, rough hew them how we will.' - Hamlet

The atmosphere we live in shapes our lives.

The invisible shapes the visible.

The seen is a product of the unseen.

We live out the culture we live in.

The atmosphere we create within ourselves is the life we will live, the thoughts we think and the emotions we feel.

We create our own atmosphere with the words we speak, the attitudes we hold and the songs we sing.

We create our culture with the vision we have, the people we mix with and the values we live by.

Let's shape UP!

My personal line: The future is in our hands and in His mighty hands. :)

Just for laughs

This is how some kids learn their English...

A father was checking his son's English Textbook.

To his shock, he noticed that his son scribbled some Chinese characters to assist him to pronounce these English words.

Yes - 爷死
Nice - 奶死
Bus - 爸死
Mouse - 妈死
Girls - 哥死
Was - 我死
Niece - 你死
Kiss - 气死
Those - 都死!!!

Haha! Hope you had a good laugh! :D

When are we the happiest?

IN LIFE, WE ARE HAPPIEST WHEN...

A man and his girlfriend were married. It was a large celebration. All of their friends and family came to see the lovely ceremony and to partake of the festivities and celebrations. A wonderful time was had by all.

The bride was gorgeous in her white wedding gown and the groom was very dashing in his black tuxedo. Everyone could tell that the love they had for each other was true.

A few months later, the wife comes to the husband with a proposal: "I read in a magazine, a while ago, about how we can strengthen our marriage." she offered. "Each of us will write a list of the things that we find a bit annoying with the other person. Then, we can talk about how we can fix them together and make our lives happier together."

The husband agreed. So each of them went to a separate room in the house and thought of the things that annoyed them about the other. They thought about this question for the rest of the day and wrote down what they came up with. The next morning, at the breakfast table, they decided that they would go over their lists.

"I'll start," offered the wife. She took out her list. It had many items on it. Enough to fill 3 pages, in fact. As she started reading the list of the little annoyances, she noticed that tears were starting to appear in her husbands eyes.

"What's wrong?" she asked. "Nothing" the husband replied, "keep reading your list."

The wife continued to read until she had read all three pages to her husband. She neatly placed her list on the table and folded her hands overtop of it.

"Now, you read your list and then we'll talk about the things on both of our lists." She said happily.

Quietly the husband stated, "I don't have anything on my list. I think that you are perfect the way that you are. I don't want you to change anything for me. You are lovely and wonderful and I wouldn't want to try and change anything about you."

The wife, touched by his honesty and the depth of his love for her and his acceptance of her, turned her head and wept.

IN LIFE, there are enough times when we are disappointed, depressed and annoyed. We don't really have to go looking for them. We have a wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise. Why waste time in this world looking for the bad, disappointing or annoying when we can look around us, and see the wondrous things before us?

I believe that WE ARE HAPPIEST WHEN we see and praise the good and try our best to forget the bad. Nobody's perfect but we can find perfectness in them to change the way we see them.

* We are not trying to condone what is bad.

Correction does much, but encouragement does more.

"The blue of heaven is larger than the clouds."

People come into your life for a REASON, SEASON, or LIFETIME.

A meaningful article from a forwarded email...

People come into your life for a REASON, SEASON, or LIFETIME.

When people come into your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, or to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fufilled; their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never known before.

These people may seem like a Godsend as well, and they are as well. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy and understanding. They are loyal and will be there for you. Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson. Love the person/people who are trying to teach you something regardless of if you agree with them or not; and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. These people will be there for you for the rest of your life - and are very loyal. They will help you through the darkest hours, and be there to share in your brightest moments. God is the only guaranteed lifetime friend, but he will definitely provide you with other potential lifetime frienships. It is said that love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant.

Each person comes into our life for a reason, season or lifetime. Always be thankful that God has allowed you to know such awesome people. But regardless of what each person is in your life for (a reason, season or lifetime), be thankful that you have been given the opportunity to know that person.

Just think of all the people who don't know that person, and will never get the opportunity to know how incredible they are. Be humble in having these opportunities in your life, but be sure to take notice of it.

Friends, a big thank you to you who have been a part of my life! You are greatly appreciated! Hugz

Welcome!!!
